About Me

HI, I'M Sarvesh Pratap Singh!

Through my volunteer involvement with WRConnectors, I have supported newcomers and graduates by helping them connect with employment resources, community networks, and opportunities to build successful futures in our region.

Volunteered as a Community Representative on a City committee, I have been able to listen, better understand local priorities, and contribute to discussions that help shape our community.

I also believe strongly in supporting our seniors and protecting their dignity. Through my volunteer service on the Board of Directors of a regional long-term care organization, I have gained valuable insight into the importance of compassionate care, accessibility, and ensuring seniors can live with respect and security.

These experiences have strengthened my belief that effective leadership starts with listening, understanding challenges firsthand, and working together on practical solutions.

As a husband, father, and working member of this community, I understand the everyday concerns families face — from housing affordability and transportation to creating opportunities for children, supporting seniors, and improving quality of life for everyone.

02

I am seeking your support to serve as your Regional Councillor because I believe in practical, people-centred leadership. My vision is focused on safer neighbourhoods, more accessible housing, reliable and affordable transit, support for residents of all ages, a sustainable environment, and opportunities for local businesses to grow.

03
PERSONAL COMMITMENT

My commitment to this region is deeply personal. I want every family to have the opportunity to thrive, every senior to age with dignity, and every resident to feel they belong.

04
OUR SHARED FUTURE

This campaign is about people over politics — about listening, collaborating, and building a Waterloo Region that remains a vibrant, inclusive, and welcoming home for today and future generations.

Key Priorities for Waterloo

BUILDING WATERLOO REGION TOGETHER

All core priorities shaping a sustainable, safe, and thriving community for all generations.

01

Every Family Deserves a Place to Call Home.

Every family deserves a place to call home — a safe, affordable, and welcoming place where they can build their future. Housing should not be out of reach for working families, seniors, young people, and those starting the next chapter of their lives. I believe we need practical solutions that encourage more affordable housing options, support responsible growth, and ensure our communities remain places where everyone has the opportunity to belong.

02

Our Farmland. Our Water. Our Future.

Waterloo Region is growing, but growth must be responsible. The decisions we make today will determine the kind of community we leave for future generations.

Our farmland, water resources, and natural spaces are more than assets — they are part of what makes Waterloo Region unique. Protecting these resources requires thoughtful planning that balances housing needs, economic growth, and environmental responsibility.

As we welcome new residents and build for the future, we must ensure development happens in a way that protects our agricultural lands, safeguards our water resources, and maintains the quality of life that makes our region a great place to call home.

Growth matters. But so does protecting what cannot be replaced.
03

Empowering Youth. Building Waterloo's Future

Young people are an essential part of Waterloo Region today and will help shape the future of our community. As our region continues to grow, we must ensure youth have the opportunities, supports, and connections they need to succeed.

That means supporting access to affordable housing, reliable public transit, employment opportunities, community programs, and pathways for youth to participate in shaping the decisions that affect their future.

A strong region is one where young people do not have to leave to find opportunity — it is a place where they can learn, work, build relationships, and create a future they are proud of.

By listening to youth and investing in their success, we are building a stronger, more inclusive, and more resilient Waterloo Region for generations to come.
04

Vibrant Local Economy & Small Business Support

A thriving local economy creates opportunities for everyone. Small businesses, entrepreneurs, and local organizations are the backbone of Waterloo Region — creating jobs, supporting families, and contributing to the unique character of our communities.

As our region continues to grow, we need to create an environment where businesses can succeed, innovate, and invest locally. That means supporting entrepreneurs, reducing barriers for small businesses, encouraging local partnerships, and ensuring our communities remain places where people can build careers and opportunities.

A strong economy is not only about attracting new investment — it is also about supporting the businesses that are already here. Our local shops, restaurants, service providers, and entrepreneurs deserve a region that listens, collaborates, and helps them grow.

By investing in economic opportunities, workforce development, and innovation, we can create a Waterloo Region where residents have access to good jobs, businesses can thrive, and future generations can build their lives here.
05

Community Safety. Wellbeing. Belonging.

A strong community is one where every resident feels safe, valued, and included. Safety is not only about responding to emergencies — it is also about creating the conditions where people can thrive.

Waterloo Region is built by people from many backgrounds, experiences, and perspectives. Our diversity is one of our greatest strengths, and we must continue building communities where everyone feels a sense of belonging.

Supporting community wellbeing means investing in services and partnerships that help residents access the support they need — including mental health resources, housing supports, services for vulnerable populations, and programs that strengthen connections within our neighbourhoods.

Inclusivity means ensuring every voice is heard and every resident has the opportunity to participate fully in community life. Whether someone is a newcomer, senior, youth, person with a disability, or part of an underrepresented community, everyone deserves to feel respected and welcomed.

By working together with community organizations, service providers, and residents, we can build a safer, healthier, and more inclusive Waterloo Region.
06

Accessible Healthcare. Healthier Communities.

Everyone deserves access to the supports they need to live a healthy and fulfilling life. While healthcare involves many levels of government, the Region plays an important role in supporting the health and wellbeing of our residents through public health services, paramedic care, community programs, and partnerships.

A growing Waterloo Region requires strong systems that support seniors, families, youth, newcomers, and residents facing barriers to care. This means strengthening community-based supports, improving access to resources, and ensuring residents know where to turn when they need help.

Healthcare is about more than treatment — it is about prevention, wellbeing, dignity, and ensuring every person has the opportunity to thrive.

By working with healthcare partners, community organizations, and all levels of government, we can build a healthier and more supportive Waterloo Region.

Healthy residents. Strong communities. A region that cares.
07

Caring for Every Generation. Supporting Families.

A strong community is one that supports people at every stage of life — from young children taking their first steps to seniors who have spent their lives building our communities.

Families need access to reliable and affordable childcare options that allow parents to work, pursue education, and build their futures. Children deserve safe, inclusive, and nurturing environments where they can learn and grow.

At the same time, our seniors deserve dignity, respect, and quality care close to home. As our population grows, we must continue supporting accessible long-term care, aging-in-place options, and services that help older adults remain connected to their communities.

Building a caring Waterloo Region means creating a community where families are supported, children have opportunities to thrive, and seniors receive the care and respect they deserve.

By working with community partners and advocating for strong regional services, we can build a region that cares for residents at every stage of life.

From our youngest residents to our seniors — everyone deserves support, dignity, and a place to belong.
08

Every Trip Matters. Every Resident Counts.

Reliable and affordable transportation connects people to work, school, healthcare, and the community. I believe transit should be accessible for everyone — including children, seniors, students, families, and those who rely on public transportation every day. By exploring affordable fare options, supporting reduced fares for youth and older adults, and improving service reliability, we can build a transit system that works for all residents and keeps our community connected.
